I found out a hack on Facebook that if u put a piece of grip in the lip of the tray it stops the drills coming out and spilling everywhere I’ve tried it and it works well

Haha, I hate kitting up Homfun paintings because the tiny bags are so hard to open…and being that they don't do the bulk diamond packs like EverMoment I find that it takes me hours (not exaggerating) to kit up a Homfun but not long at all for an EverMoment. I had one that I had to take a break on because opening the bags began to hurt my fingers (they're the only company I have to use the tear guides or I can't get them open…scissors don't work well with their bags). Never had an EM take nearly that long. I have a 60×90 from HF kitted up and took the approach of opening every bag like you had demonstrated recently solely because I didn't want to have to fight with those tiny bags again. I loathe those bags, lol.

I think part of it is that I know how EM packs their diamonds. They tend to focus on the big bags first and then add the little bags last…so they're in some semblance of an order, just going through the numbers twice, once for big and once for small. I think people don't realize there is a method to the madness because they just dump out the bags rather than pull them out top to bottom or bottom to top which mixes them up and makes it appear like a random jumbled mess. It does help that when I get an EM, I unload all of the diamonds and organize them big with small of the same number to properly cross off the inventory sheet and that's how I keep them when I put them away, so by the time I am kitting up an EM they're already mostly in the proper order with both the big and small bags together.

I'd honestly just rather spend the extra money on an EM most of the time (maybe for larger paintings the cost would become a factor in choosing EM or HF) because I find their system so enjoyable. I've heard a lot of people complain about the small packets in general (those people seem to prefer the strips like many of the Fansells paintings or the likes of Diamond Art Club have), but the only company I've really found unenjoyable to kit up is Homfun. The fact they shrink out ALL air from them means the bags are very difficult for me to open.

I musing tiny decision but everytime i go back into the app, it doesn't save the darkened sections so I have renumbered my canvas 3 times! How do I make it save the selections so I dont have to keep redoing my numbers? 💖
